A little walk along Svartån (Blackriver).
The camera (Mamiya ZD, digital medium format slr:ish) have an quite old CCD sensor, but Its huge, still not that good in little light situations. I would say that I would not recommend anyone to have longer shutter speed than 8 seconds after that the noise gets crazy much. Well I know that this camera is created for studio use. But I like to work around “rules” and kinda like the Idea of using the camera out of its intended usage.
And I guess right after ISO 100 ok I sometimes use 125, but then with the notion of that there are a lot of grain (the digital version) the worst thing is that the shadows and blacks have so many different colors in them.
The lens Mamiya Sekor C 80 f1.9 I love its sharp wide open, have to admit that Its not razor sharp (the sharpest that I have used for Mamiya 645 is the 120 mm f4, for nikon the classic Nikon 55mm f/2.8 AI-s, for canon the EF 50 mm 2.5 macro) but the dept of field is magic. To take photos with digital medium format camera takes some more time, at least for me. And I have taking many photos more than an million photos. I consider myself to be a much- shooter, that I rather take 5 than one photo. Even that I by now know quite much how to create a photo. Im always think its magic that its possible to capture/ archive time even after more than 1.3 million photos taken. And this lens creates possibilities to create magic (according to me) photographs.
